I don't know what happens with Squeeze-ESP32 based devices as there are a bit of a hybrid - I suspect they behave more like an SB3 than a Radio. The Squeezebox Duet package includes Squeezebox Controller, a multi-room wireless controller that lets you browse, select and play your personal music collection, tune to thousands of Internet radio stations, use music services like Rhapsody and Pandora Radio, and even access an MP3tunes music locker, all in the palm of your hand. Logitech Media Server Version: 8.3.2 - 1676612206 All 4 PicorePlayers are running piCorePlayer. Radio, Touch) icon is saved when using More menu but not sure what happens if there is a "track" image showing and not a station logo. When playing with a Squeezeplay devices (e.g. This lets you control Squeezebox hardware like the Classic, Transporter, Duet, Boom, Radio and Touch and of software players like Squeezelite, SoftSqueeze, SqueezePlayer and SqueezeSlave. SB3, Boom, Transporter) - the icon entry is not saved when using "save to Favorites" using "More" when playing - not sure about from Radio/Search. Squeezebox (Logitech Media Server) The Squeezebox integration allows you to control a Logitech Squeezebox music player from Home Assistant. IIRC, with older "non-image" SB devices (e.g. search, plugins) to find station and from search results list menu, BEFORE playing the station, use heart icon. To reliably save icon in Favorite entry, use WebUI (e.g. My interest came about when after using my RadioNet plugin some users noted that saved station logo was not always correct. Just plug it in and turn the dial to connect to an underground rock station in Amsterdam, talk show in Sydney, sports coverage from Boston or BBC news from London. Now it's good to know why.A few more details to be aware of. The compact Logitech Squeezebox Radio works with your Wi-Fi network to stream a world of crystal-clear music to any room you want. I never really cared much, but started saving from browse. However, if I saved from now playing, the icon was usually blank when accessing the favorite. I had noted that in general, if I search to a station, and save to favorites from that point (from browse), the logo is generally adopted by the favorite. The actual opml entry would clarify what is happening. If you saved the Favorite with station icon while playing the station from the Search results - the icon may have been provided by the station or a plugin and that that particular location (e.g. If you saved the "" from the Search results before playing - then I think the icon that is saved is supplied by the InternetRadio plugin - NOT by the station. Icons in Favorites are either saved in the opml entry or somehow derived from the URL.Ī "Radio" search usually means a Tune-in Radiotime URL of the type ". The Logitech Media Server allows streaming of both local content and streaming internet radio. I don't believe cache plays a part in the Favorites icons. The actual opml entry from favorites.opml would help answer the question I also tried clearing cache on my server, but that also did not work. I tried deleting the Favorite and re-adding it, but the old icon persisted perhaps I should have restarted LMS after deleting. The new station icon first appeared yesterday on Material Android, but Material on my Windows PC would not pick it up. Ohh maybe I can sync it with virtual player (group plugin) and fool it to do what I want.Īnyway Im hoping maybe its simple fix like incorrect dropdown index. The station (WCRB Boston) had previously been saved to a "Favorite" via a search within "Radio" entry of LMS. Also, by using headphones one can use one single Squeezebox Radio as a stereo device. When running off Logitech Media Server, two Squeezebox Radios can be synchronized and set to play one stereo channel each, thus working as a stereo device. when selecting Both channels Mono it actually only plays one channel on radio and on both speakers in case of touch. The Squeezebox Radio can be powered by an optional proprietary battery pack, made available in March 2010. I know its kind of obscure usage but it will be super useful to me. I only recently discovered Squeezebox/Logitech Media Server, and have built a piCoreplayer/server with a Raspberry Pi (and have two PCs using Squeezelite-X for players). Indeed is looks like not completely implemented and only prioritised for most likely use case : 2 radios in sync. It seems to behave exactly as you described. Alternatively this might have been something that Andy was going to implement but didn't get a chance before leaving.Ohh thanks for that explanation. The idea was that you could have a pair of Radios set to Left and Right which would act as a stereo pair when synchronised but play both channels when not synchronised.Įdit. I seem to remember a Radio would only act as a left or right channel if it was synchronised with another Radio but I could be wrong.
