![]() ![]() While i could forgive that kind of stuff in RCR back then, i just can't do it anymore here. In fact, they're often bad or poorly designed. Everything is just obscenely easy, there's no challenge at all. They're over before you even start having the slightest fun. Missions/levels are way too short (many don't even last a full minute). Graphics are still fantastic but the RCR magic is gone. But my expectations were too high, because all the flaws from RCR are still here, and they're worse. It took me a while to eventually try Shakedown Hawaii, it's more ambitious and aims to be a whacky 2D GTA. It wasn't perfect, but i had a blast playing it. I remember loving every single second of it, and it's one of the rare games i completed twice in the recent years. It's business in the front, and bodies in the back. You're the CEO, and questionable subsidiaries, misleading ads, fine print, hidden service fees, and marketing spin are the tools of your trade.įrom the boardroom to the streets, build your corporate empire and destroy the competition. Shakedown: Hawaii parodies big business, and the most absurd business practices that go alongside. Build a "legitimate" corporation by completing open world missions, acquiring businesses, sabotaging competitors, "re-zoning" land, and shaking down shops for protection money. Shakedown: Hawaii combines open world action and empire building. or at least, could be with the right business model. ![]()
